We want to make huge steps in the fight against type 1 diabetes.

Hippo is the support for children with diabetes, both practically and mentally.

HIPPO is a happy animal, with colored spots who are indicating where you can inject the insulin. 

Hippo was designed by Barbara Flamand,a mother who's child was diagnosed on age 8.

The colors represent the rate of insulin in the bloodstream, which varies depending on the injection site: 

very quickly through the abdomen (green) 

rapidly through the upper arm (orange) 

the slowest through thighs and buttocks (red). 

 
These colors are not randomly chosen.

They are referring to traffic lights, making kids memorizing them easily.
