Win a cycling jersey signed by Wout Van Aert

Wout Van Aert has donated a signed jersey to Hippo and Friends. We would like to give this jersey a new home and have set up a competition. Residents of Belgium, the Netherlands, France and Germany aged 18 and over can take part by transferring a contribution of 2 euros to Hippo and Friends, answering a competition question and a tie-breaker question, and leaving their details. You can take part as many times as you like between 1 February 2026 and 28 February 2026.

With the proceeds we can continue to support scientific research into type 1 diabetes without interruption.

Competition rules

This translation is provided for information only. Only the Dutch version of these rules is legally binding.

1. Organiser

The competition "Win a cycling jersey signed by Wout Van Aert" is organised by Hippo and Friends, a non-profit association with its registered office at Herestraat 49 bus 902, 3000 Leuven, registered with the Belgian Crossroads Bank for Enterprises under number 0728.817.319, hereinafter referred to as "the organiser".

2. Entry

- Entry is open to: all residents of Belgium, the Netherlands, France and Germany aged 18 and over.

- Employees of the organiser are excluded from entry.
- Entry requires a contribution of €2 to Hippo and Friends.
- By entering, the entrant declares that they have read and accept these rules.

3. Competition period

The competition runs from 1 February 2026 up to and including 28 February 2026. Entries received after this period are no longer eligible.

4. How to enter

To enter the competition validly, the entrant must:
- complete a form with their contact details, answer a knowledge question and a tie-breaker question, and make a contribution of €2 to Hippo and Friends.
- Entries must meet the following conditions: the correct contact details must be filled in, and the knowledge question and the tie-breaker question must be answered correctly.

5. Selection and assessment

- The winners are selected by the organiser, on the basis of the accuracy of the answers to the knowledge question and the tie-breaker question.
- The organiser's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

6. Prizes

The following prizes are awarded: a cycling jersey signed by Wout Van Aert
- The prize is not transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
- The organiser reserves the right to change the prize if circumstances require it.

7. Announcement of winners

The winners will be announced on 10 March 2026 by email and on social media.
Winners must respond within 7 days; if no response is received, the right to the prize lapses.

8. Copyright and use of entries

By entering, the entrant grants the organiser the non-exclusive right to use entries for promotional purposes, stating the entrant's name, unless the entrant objects to this in writing.
The entrant declares that the entry is their own work and does not infringe the rights of third parties.

9. Privacy

The personal data collected in the context of this competition are used solely for running the competition and communicating with entrants, in accordance with the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Belgian privacy legislation.
The organiser is responsible for processing the data and can be contacted at info@hippoandfriends.be.

10. Liability

The organiser cannot be held liable for technical problems, loss of data or other circumstances beyond its control that may affect entry or the running of the competition, except in the case of intent or gross negligence.

11. Changes and unforeseen circumstances

The organiser reserves the right to amend these rules or to cancel the competition in the event of force majeure or circumstances beyond its control, without entrants being able to claim compensation.

12. Applicable law

These rules are governed by Belgian law. Any disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the courts of Leuven.
