A gift is the simplest way to support us. A gift with a tax certificate is only possible through our fund at KU Leuven. You are always free to choose the amount you donate. Your support goes entirely to the Hippo & Friends type 1 diabetesfonds. KU Leuven issues a tax certificate for gifts from €40.

Make a gift
Make a notarial donation
You can also make a notarial donation. This is a more formal way of giving and can also cover immovable property. The big difference with a bank gift or a hand gift is that the donation is recorded in a notarial deed. Standing order
You decide on a fixed moment (monthly, for example) and a fixed amount to support the project of your choice with a gift through a standing order. You can adjust or stop your order at any time. In spring you automatically receive a tax certificate for the total amount of all your gifts over the past year. From € 40 a year onwards, your gift is tax deductible. You can spread your gift across the whole year without having to remember to renew it.

An appeal at a life event
Are you organising a birthday party, a wedding, a graduation party or a retirement celebration? You can invite your guests to make a donation to the Hippo & Friends type 1 diabetesfonds. Are you welcoming a baby into the family soon and looking for an alternative to the traditional baby registry? Donations to a good cause are a wonderful initiative.
Contact us at info@hippoandfriends.be or at steun@kuleuven.be for a unique reference, which allows us to send you a general overview of the donations (names of the donors and the total amount, no individual amounts). The usual donation principle applies here too: a gift of 40 euros or more entitles you to a tax certificate.
