This year we have chosen 'Music' as our theme. This photo shoot involved 15 children with type 1 diabetes. Our call for candidates for the calendar was answered no less than 42 times. Too bad there are only 12 months in 1 year... The children were clearly looking forward to it and enjoyed the special care in the make-up and styling. Photographer Diewke Eerdekens of Studio Diewke made them the star musicians of this calendar!

This awareness calendar should give type 1 diabetes more name recognition and show that these are not children who have eaten too sweets much or are overweight! Type 1 diabetes just happens! The proceeds from the sale of this calendar go entirely to support scientific research for prevention and a permanent remedy for type 1 diabetes.
